Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible
to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he
is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
James 5:15
And the prayer of faith shall save
the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed
sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I say
unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye
receive them, and ye shall have them.
Hebrews 11:1-3
1 Now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good
report.
3 Through faith we understand that the
worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were
not made of things which do appear.
Matthew 8:1-3
1 When he was come down from the mountain,
great multitudes followed him.
2 And, behold, there came a leper and
worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched
him, saying, I will; be thou clean.
And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:5-13
5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum,
there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at
home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
7 And Jesus saith unto him, I
will come and heal him.
8 The centurion answered and said, Lord,
I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word
only, and my servant shall be healed.
9 For I am a man under authority, having
soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another,
Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled,
and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto
you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11 And
I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall
sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13 And Jesus said unto the centurion,
Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it
done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
Matthew 9:2-7
2 And, behold, they brought to him a man
sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said
unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer;
thy sins be forgiven thee.
3 And, behold, certain of the scribes
said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said,
Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5
For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise,
and walk?
6
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive
sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise,
take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
Matthew 9:18-29
18 While he spake these things unto them,
behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter
is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall
live.
19 And Jesus arose, and followed him,
and so did his disciples.
20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased
with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem
of his garment:
21 For she said within herself, If
I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
22 But Jesus turned him about, and when
he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort;
thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole
from that hour.
23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's
house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,
24 He said unto them, Give
place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed
him to scorn.
25 But when the people were put forth,
he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.
26 And the fame hereof went abroad into
all that land.
27 And when Jesus departed thence, two
blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have
mercy on us.
28 And when he was come into the house,
the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe
ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying,
According to your faith be it unto you.
Matthew 15:22-27
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came
out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O
Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And
his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth
after us.
24 But he answered and said, I
am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying,
Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It
is not meet to take the children's bread, and cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the
dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus
answered and said unto her, O woman, great is
thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter
was made whole from that very hour.
Matthew 17:14-21
14 And when they were come to the multitude,
there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he
is a lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and
oft into the water.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples,
and they could not cure him.
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O
faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long
shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he
departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart,
and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because
of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as
a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence
to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto
you.
21
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Matthew 20:29-34
29 And as they departed from Jericho,
a great multitude followed him.
30 And, behold, two blind men sitting
by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying,
Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
31 And the multitude rebuked them, because
they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy
on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
32 And Jesus stood still, and called them,
and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes
may be opened.
34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and
touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they
followed him.
Mark 1:40-42
40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching
him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou
canst make me clean.
41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put
forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I
will; be thou clean.
42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately
the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
Mark 2:1-12
1 And again he entered into Capernaum
after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2 And straightway many were gathered together,
insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about
the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3 And they come unto him, bringing one
sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4 And when they could not come nigh unto
him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they
had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he
said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be
forgiven thee.
6 But there were certain of the scribes
sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies?
who can forgive sins but God only?
8 And immediately when Jesus perceived
in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them,
Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9 Whether is it
easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to
say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10 But that ye may
know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he
saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11 I say unto thee,
Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took up the
bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed,
and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
Mark 5:21-42
21 And when Jesus was passed over again
by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was
nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the
rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at
his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My
little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay
thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people
followed him, and thronged him.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue
of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many
physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but
rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in
the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his
clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her
blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that
plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself
that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said,
Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou
seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her
that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling,
knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him
all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter,
thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy
plague.
35 While he yet spake, there came from
the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is
dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that
was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be
not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man to follow him,
save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler
of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto
them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel
is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But
when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of
the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel
was lying.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand,
and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is,
being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and
walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished
with a great astonishment.
Mark 7:24-30
24 And from thence he arose, and went
into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would
have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter
had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician
by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out
of her daughter.
27 But Jesus said unto her, Let
the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's
bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
28 And she answered and said unto him,
Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
29 And he said unto her, For
this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
30 And when she was come to her house,
she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
Mark 9:14-29
14 And when he came to his disciples,
he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
15 And straightway all the people, when
they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
16 And he asked the scribes, What question
ye with them?
17 And one of the multitude answered and
said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth
him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and
I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could
not.
19 He answereth him, and saith, O
faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall
I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and
when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground,
and wallowed foaming.
21 And he asked his father, How
long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into
the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do
any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If
thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child
cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came
running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou
dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more
into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him
sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said,
He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and
lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house,
his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This
kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
Mark 10:46-52
46 And they came to Jericho: and as he
went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind
Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus
of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have
mercy on me.
48 And many charged him that he should
hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David,
have mercy on me.
49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded
him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good
comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50 And he, casting away his garment, rose,
and came to Jesus.
51 And Jesus answered and said unto him,
What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?
The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52 And Jesus said unto him, Go
thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately
he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Luke 5:12-13
12 And it came to pass, when he was in
a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on
his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make
me clean.
13 And he put forth his hand, and touched
him, saying, I will: be thou clean.
And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
Luke 8:41-55
41 And, behold, there came a man named
Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus'
feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:
42 For he had one only daughter, about
twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged
him.
43 And a woman having an issue of blood
twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could
be healed of any,
44 Came behind him, and touched the border
of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
45 And Jesus said, Who
touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said,
Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who
touched me?
46 And Jesus said, Somebody
hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
47 And when the woman saw that she was
not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared
unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and
how she was healed immediately.
48 And he said unto her, Daughter,
be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
49 While he yet spake, there cometh one
from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is
dead; trouble not the Master.
50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered
him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she
shall be made whole.
51 And when he came into the house, he
suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father
and the mother of the maiden.
52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but
he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.
53 And they laughed him to scorn,
knowing that she was dead.
54 And he put them all out, and
took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
55 And her spirit came again, and she
arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.
Luke 9:37-42
37 And it came to pass, that on the next
day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.
38 And, behold, a man of the company cried
out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only
child.
39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he
suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising
him hardly departeth from him.
40 And I besought thy disciples to cast
him out; and they could not.
41 And Jesus answering said, O
faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and
suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil
threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and
healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
Acts 14:8-10
8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra,
impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never
had walked:
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly
beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright
on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
